SHANKARRAO URSAL COLLEGE OF PHARMACY, Khardi, Pune was established in ____ with the motivation of Late Prof. Ramakrishna More, President of Pune District Education Association.
The college was established keeping in view the fact that there was no college of higher education within the fast-developing areas of Sangvi, Aundh, Baner, Wakad, Kalewadi, Pimple Gurav, Pimple Nilakh, Thergaon, etc.
The major population in this area belongs to the middle class and is economically weak. There are four higher secondary schools in this region.
Access to higher education was a problem for these students, especially for girls, since other senior colleges were more than 10 kilometers away.
